Halloween is one of my favourite holidays. First, I made another pie. It’s a pumpkin pie that I made from a REAL PUMPKIN (which I steamed in the microwave), and a butter-cookie crust. Sure, occasionally I knock the brush, sure, but do I need a card to sit over my lashes to avoid getting mascara on my eyelid? If I really needed a barrier, wouldn’t I just use paper? Mail today, mail today! AVEDA Invanti Exfoliating Shampoo & Thickening Conditioner. AVEDA is my spa of choice for massage, but I’ve not used any of their products. I do have thin, thin hair, and have never found any product that actually made any difference in that area, so I don’t have high hopes for the thickening promises, but I’m sure it will be pleasant. I made a pie! It was delicious! I used the Maison Canelle gluten-free pie crust, because I’m still intimidated by gf pastries, and it was dry and hard, but very edible. Having just eaten my mom’s butter tarts with real crust, though, I remember what pastry should taste like, and it’s not really this. It looks amazing, and the filling tastes fantastic. My nephew turned four over the weekend. He celebrated with a turkey din, and I popped round afterward to shower him with gifts. Giant hulk hands, and the like. He’s very into super-heroes.
