Happy Halloween!

Halloween is one of my favourite holidays. First, I made another pie.

It’s a pumpkin pie that I made from a REAL PUMPKIN (which I steamed in the microwave), and a butter-cookie crust. Topped with coconut whipped cream, which I finally got to whip! It was spectacular.

Now, onto costume! Julie was going to be away, and I was going to be all by my lonesome, but the hurricane made his trip become not possible, so we tossed together a quick tardis for him! (Really.)

The TARDIS is made from poster board from presentations, you know? Two of them, held together with zipties and suspended by laptop bag straps. The windows are spray-painted chrome, with electrical tape borders, and the letters were found at Michael’s, which we have here now.

I made my own fez, based loosely on this tutorial. I didn’t do any sewing except for the top, which I hand-sewed, the rest is glue-gunned. I also made the tassel. Oh yeah.

I had suspenders and a sonic screwdriver just laying around, and managed to find a bow-tie, blouse, and blazer, which I added elbow-patches to. Overall, I was really happy with it! No one at all knew who we were, but I know we were awesome, and that’s what counts.
