Shades of Grey

This whole week was pretty businesslike. Not sure why that is,but I’m not against it. F21 sweater Simon Chang skirt Cameo-bow Brooch, Heart necklace, sparkly bracelet, from Lady Jane link bracelet, graduation gift from my Grandmother shoes, Payless The problem with scheduling posts ahead and doing weekly updates is that I have no idea what else was going on on this day, and since I’m about to write four posts in a row, I don’t want to reveal too much in the first one. That said, look forward to: New hair! New dress! BIRTHDAY. Continue reading Shades of Grey

Windy.

This picture is from Saturday, when we got some of the stormy action from Irene. I’m sure it’s nothing compared to areas that were actually hard hit, but it sure as heck felt cold and windy and rainy and awful! And me without my rainboots. Skirt, Old Navy Tee, Joe Fresh Shoes, H&M Necklace, gift from Mina – a set of three for me, Lauren, and her! So cute! Since this picture was taken in the evening I’m also wearing my newest acquisition from MJ, an awesome goldtone bracelet held on with a magnet clasp! I’m a sucker for nifty … Continue reading Windy.

So comfy.

Sweatpants material and tees are the way to go. It’s also been a while since I raved madly about Girl About Town. Isn’t it lovely? It’s hot pink without looking trashy, somehow. Tee, Urban Outfitters Skirt, Joe Fresh Sandals, Old Navy Necklace, made by Mina On this day, I went shopping with my little sister and her son, then had dinner with my dad, sister, nephew, and sis’ BF. It was so nice! Continue reading So comfy.

Black & White Flowers

I don’t remember wearing this cardigan two days in a row, but apparently I did. Who knew! This is another dress I adore, but hadn’t worn in a while because of fit issues. It gaps under the arms, as the armholes are far too big. With it being cooler out, I can leave a cardigan on all day and not worry about it. How do you deal with armholes being too big? Dress, ModCloth Cardigan, Jacob Brooch, Sweater guard, Lady Jane Shoes, Spring Continue reading Black & White Flowers

LadyLike

I absolutely love this skirt, still. I couldn’t find the belt I was searching for, and ended up with a fabric dealie which was okay, but not the one I wanted, and therefore disappointing. However, I still dig the shape. Skirt, H&M Blouse, Old Navy Cardi, Jacob Belt, from a different skirt Necklace and Bracelet, Sarah Coventry via Lady Jane Sweater Guard, also Lady Jane In the evening, I went for dumplings, and got sauce all over my blouse. Despite it being tide penned and shouted and washed, the stains are there to stay. Bye, awesome Old Navy Blouse! Continue reading LadyLike

Closet Tour

A while back, I mentioned I have five closets in the new place. I’ve also been asked, on occasion, how I store my clothing and accessories. Well, this is it. I have my shoes divided into boxed shoes and unboxed. A few years back, when I moved from NB back to Montreal, I purged all my boxes, thinking I would be better able to store them without. I was so wrong! But this closet shows the unboxed shoes, lined up. At the moment it goes from summer shoes in the front to boots at the back. I suppose I’ll have … Continue reading Closet Tour

Princess Dress

This dress still makes me feel like a princess. It’s fantastic. I love everything about it, every thing. Dress, Cardigan, H&M Shoes, Hibou sweater guard, bracelet, Lady Jane On this day, on my way to work, I took a tumble. There are stairs leading from Parc Avenue into the park, and I fell off my shoe, off the last step, and onto the pavement, skinning my knee. It was sort of fun, last time I skinned my knee I’m pretty sure I was eight years old. Embarrassing? Heck yes! But, now I have this cool scab. It still hurts like … Continue reading Princess Dress

Pants?

Last time I wore pants I believe it was June. I’m not a big fan. I don’t like how they feel or how they look on me. I get compliments, so I guess they’re flattering, but they just don’t feel natural. Pull-on pants, Reitmans Cardi, Zellers Tee, F21 Shoes, Payless Bracelet, Mary Jane Necklace, Ardene Nope. Don’t like them at all. As well, I feel that pull-on pants are a slippery slope to yoga pants and eventually sweat pants. I actually own yoga pants now. I changed into them on this day when I got home. At least I can … Continue reading Pants?
