Jammies in Public

This dress is made of satiny material that reminds me of jimmy jams. Aaron had a bunch of my clothes at his place and forced me to take them home, and this dress was among the bunch. So glad! So comfy! Dress, Les Ailes de La Mode Necklace, Beyond the Rack Shoes, Impanema Belt, thrifted Sourpuss face, morning I wish I was better at mornings. I get up, I crank around for a while, shower, drink some coffee, get dressed, and now sit on the subway for thirteen minutes, then wait for the bus and by the time I get … Continue reading Jammies in Public

Colourblocking again

I really love this dress. This time I’ve worn a slip underneath, which was a good choice. Dress, H&M Shoes, Payless Bracelets, H&M, Spain Cardi, Joe Fresh I was told that the effort I made to ground my colourful dress with black accents (shoes, bracelets) was appreciated. I liked that. Progress on my house has been slow. I’m not feeling up to much these days, so I just loaf about. Hopefully the cooler weather (Hello, fall!) and my birthday (28!) will spurn me on some. Boring Black Dress

On this evening, I went out with Lauren and some of her classmates from elementary school. It was pretty super duper fun. Also, the more I look at these pictures with that box in the background, the more I think I have to call my sister and get her to pick it up! Also that headboard and footboard, which you can’t see, but I assure you is leaned up against the wall. Old Navy Dress Impanema Sandals MosaicPlanet necklace and earrings I’m dreadfully tired, but I have discovered an awesome YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/MyHarto. Go there, be entertained. Continue reading Boring Black Dress

Plaid and Polka Dot

This is one of my favourite skirts. I bought it when I was seventeen. I love the shape of it. I used to wear it low on the hip – apparently now my natural waist is the size my hips used to be. That’s okay. The skirt still looks pretty bitchin’. Skirt, Dynamite, eleven years ago Tank, Rebublique Cardi, Zellers Bracelet, graduation gift from my grandmother (twelve years ago!) ring, Lady Jane Earrings, a bit of a mystery – I may have borrowed them from my sister? Sandals, Impanema, again. This outfit feels very summery and fun. I have this … Continue reading Plaid and Polka Dot

Pink & Black

I have way too many black skirts, and to justify keeping them all, I’m trying to wear them. This is a black skirt I got a few years ago. It’s lineny and therefore summery and has like airy panels to keep my bum cool. This is how I justify keeping it. Skirt, Republique Tank, H&M Cardi, Joe Fresh Necklace & Bracelet, Zellers Earrings, H&M Sandals, Impanema The cats pictured are Vex (at feet) and Kisses (behind me). They’re handling the heat remarkably well. I’d think with fur coats they’d be just sitting down all the time and panting, but they … Continue reading Pink & Black

New skirt: Not ruined!

I finally got the hairdye out of this skirt! It only took like ten washings. The nice thing about non-permanent dye is it doesn’t forever stain your clothes. It doesn’t forever stain your hair, either, which is less nice. However, I am pleased that my skirt is not ruined. Tee & Skirt, Old Navy Sandals, Impanema Bracelets, left: Lady Jane Bracelet, right: American Eagle Outfitters Necklace, gift from great-grandmother This is Monday’s outfit. My first day as the only supporty type person in the department. It went.. okay. I didn’t die and I didn’t kill anyone, so plusses all around! Continue reading New skirt: Not ruined!

Sunday Sweats

this skirt is made of sweatpants. But I think it’s okay, because it’s not ‘really’ sweatpants. I used to argue with Mina that pull-on pants were a slippery slope toward sweatpants, and I think this might be closer. I have to give up that argument, or admit that I am getting to an age where sweatpants might be just acceptable attire. I’m not. Skirt, Joe Fresh Tank, Ardene Hoodie, GAP Sandals, Impanema Necklace, gift from Mina As you can see, I still don’t have any furniture. The Ikea man never came, so I am a stoveless, couchless, sad person. Continue reading Sunday Sweats
