Grease Is The Word

This awesome thrifted wool sweater makes me think of Grease. These leggings make me think of Grease. Put them together? And it’s the Shake Shack. Dress, Zellers Leggings, American Apparel Boots, Payless Sweater, thrifted, originally a Vancouver school sweater. This first photo was taken while I was dancing, as was the last. Ignore funny faces. These boots are great. They’ve taken me through the winter really well. I have thick calves, so boots are something of a trial and the elastic panel makes it so that I’m not squeezed uncomfortably. They were also on offer for like $40, so I … Continue reading Grease Is The Word

Winter Shorts

I just realized we’re still on pre-haircut photos, too! Well, y’all, I’m way behind. Which is good for me, but it means you’re seeing my life a month ago, or maybe more. This was shorts in February as opposed to MarchShorts, which I feel is far more reasonable. It was after Groundhog Day, and I think we were promised a short winter at that point, so I got all optimistic and donned some short pants. Shorts, H&M Blouse, Cardi, H&M Sweater guard, Etsy Earrings, Betsey Johnson, christmas present from my sister Tights, Target Boots, Payless Watch, Miss Sixty Did I … Continue reading Winter Shorts

New Sunday Tradition: Machiavelli Brunch

For the last two years, I’ve lived in the PSC neighbourhood of Montreal. On the corner of Charlevoix & Center is a little restaurant that I’ve passed every day. I looked it up on Urbanspoon when I moved in and the reviews were great, and I added it to my wishlist. And until a month ago, I never went. Before heading out to the swap with Lauren, we went for Brunch at Machiavelli. And I’ve been back every week since. It’s amazing, seriously. I have a hard time eating out, because of my gluten issues, and lactose intolerance. I let … Continue reading New Sunday Tradition: Machiavelli Brunch

More Yellows!

I’ve said it before, but I don’t think I can ever overstate it, colours make my mood improved. Cardi, Zellers Dress, H&M Tights, We Love Colours Shoes, H&M At work, I was accused of wearing my Easter Duds, which I chose to take as a compliment. Details! Dress clip & ring, both via swap For those of you curious, my eyes are healing really well. I have a followup appointment this week, on Friday, at which time it will have been two weeks since I could just see out of the eyes in my head without assistive glass. I’m waiting … Continue reading More Yellows!

Dressy

This is one of my favourite dressy dresses that still feels businessy. My other favourite dressy dresses are probably too fancy for the office, sadly. Maybe I’ll give them a whirl in the summertime, with some nice flats. Until then, my favourite dressy dress that still feels businessy is…. Dress, Target Brooch, Trove Tights, TJ Maxx Shoes, Steve Madden Watch, Miss 60 Glasses, still present Moments after I accidentally kicked* Kisses right in the face. I felt so bad! She ignored me for several days, so I expect she was really unimpressed with the incident. She is always underfoot, or … Continue reading Dressy

Yellow!

If you follow my twitter you’ll know, but my Big News was that I got laser eye surgery! I still have a bunch of posts with glasses queued up, so don’t worry, you’ll get to see my normal mug for a while yet. I must say, it feels very strange to wake up and see things. My vision isn’t perfect yet, but it’s pretty amazing. on par with how I see in contact lenses, and it’s only been a few days of healing. I have planned for you a look at all my glasses, but first… Tee, Old Navy Pants, … Continue reading Yellow!

Peplum Belt!!!!!

Can you feel how excited I am about this? So excited. Tee, La Vie En Rose Cardi, H&M Jeans, Old Navy Belt, Addition-Elle Boots, Payless The belt is a bit high here, I should’ve positioned it at the top of my jeans, but I was so thrilled with this. Also this was the first day of brown hair. Doesn’t it look shiny and fab? Brown hair is alright. It ain’t pink, but it’s alright. I’ve seen loads of fabulously coloured haired folk lately and I am feeling a twinge of the old jealousy. There was this girl in Sephora with … Continue reading Peplum Belt!!!!!

V-Day

Valentines Day should be a colourful occasion. Before we get into the colours, check out our dinner at home… Tuna tartare with asian dresing. Salmon tartare with traditional dressing, moulded into hearts, aww. Seared Scallop Sandwich. An SLT, if you will. And pickle point & raspberry point oysters. I put together a quick mignonette, which was absolutely awesome. We had a wonderful (filling!) dinner. Our fishes were acquired from Falero, and we were absolutely thrilled with the quality and service. The fellas in there clearly care about their product. What did I wear? Dress, JC Penney Cardi, H&M Belt, from … Continue reading V-Day

All the polka dots, all at once.

This is the day I realised my roots are Out Of Control. jeans, old navy blouse, h&m brooch, republique watch, miss sixty socks, mysteriously appeared in my dryer bracelet, trove weird fingers, not illuminati related belt, bf’s? This is h2t polka-dots at it’s best, I feel. This blouse always makes me feel prim, despite its sheerness. The neck-brooch is a look I wish would come back. These jeans are a size 18, and they’re tooooo big. In the store, though, they were perfect! I’ve been washing them in hot water in the hopes that the waist and bum will shrink … Continue reading All the polka dots, all at once.
