Pleats

These photos look great, Julien is a great photographer.

The shoes are part of a set I bought from a lady selling samples at out house the summer between grade 10 and 11. I bought these in gold and black, and a pair of beige slides, red slides, a criss-cross cone heel (that I’ve never worn), and I passed on a driving shoe because my mom said it was “too old lady” and I still regret it twenty years later.

Summertime is the best, isn’t it? No coat, sunshine, everything is easy. Sure, it is sometimes so humid it feels like you’re breathing water, but that’s a fair price to pay for the air not hurting your face.

I love this skirt that I piqued from Mamie’s closet. We’re planning a trip for my birthday and I hope to leave with an empty suitcase and come home with a full one. Julien’s grandma and I were the same size, and her closet it just wonderful – very up my street.
