I moved house over the weekend! It was pretty great. I am exploring the new neighbourhood and getting to know the place, thinking about decor, painting, and curtains. Not usually one for such things, but I quite like this new home, and think I may consider staying – maybe for more than a year! We shall see.

My moving outfits are all pretty laid back and plain, though I was very comfortable. Summer comes to Montreal in July, so it has been excruciatingly hot, and light, airy dresses have been the way to go. On the first, though, it was pouring bloody rain, so I wore: leggings from Les Ailes, a F21 dress, black tee and Spring shoes. Also a trench, but you cannot see that. (My apostrophe key is not working, writing without it is hard work!)

Day two in my new home I took a walk around the area, and found that the canal is like a two minute walk away! It is very, very pretty and cemented my decision. I finally think I made the right choice! I am always a bit disappointed when I move house and this is the first time in three apartments that I feel good about it. Check this out:

Sunday, the heat was really getting to me. I mean, really. The AC box was still hidden among other boxes, and lifting and moving and cleaning meant I was incredibly warm at all times. I wore:

F21 necklace and dress, Impanema sandals.

Oh! And the best, best part? My very own washer and dryer.
