A few weekends back, on a beautiful TWENTY degree day, we drove out to Ontario and sat outside in a park. It. Was. Delightful.
Coffee, hot-weather glasses, blankies and sunshine. What more could you ask for?
Last summer I went on my first real “hike”. And, I mean, hike – it was a trail, but I didn’t need boots, I just had my regular pink Dragons, and we went on our way. I was terrible at it, just terrible, but it was really nice. There was some kind of yoga retreat that weekend, so there were these beautiful woodland yoga people running barefoot across the trails, while my sweat-drenched miserable self huffed and puffed to get by. One day, I will be that beautiful woodland yoga person. But I digress. The point is, I really liked hiking! Or, I really liked woods-walking, I don’t know if there’s a difference. I’m not intense about it or anything. It was just nice to be outside. So, more of that sort of thing!
The geese were out and flying like crazy, honking so much it became a low drone. Lauren took a video, I’m not sure if it came out, but it was super neato.
We also grabbed a quick early dinner at Blueberry Hill Bistro, which was super delicious home cooked pub food. I had a fish pie, which was piping hot and generous and delicious. Service was lovely, it felt like a super cool, laid-back place to have a few pints and relax. Yarm yarm, pub grub.
