wear: Saturday

I had a great, great day today with Lauren. We got our photos done by Mary Jane in support of her Movember mission to do portraits and such. It was super fun, I finally got to have a coffee at Cafe Shaika, having walked past it hundreds of time and never stopping due to being ferret-laden, and by golly wow was it good coffee. The baristas were super sweet as well.

Following that, Laury and I headed to the S.A, where I snapped up an adorbz wicker purse, and a stocking for my nephew which I’ll embellish with his name, and she got a few bits and bobs as well.

Then we had lunch at Tequila Taco, (awesome) and headed down to FutureShop to grab another Kinect title. All in alls, a good day.

Wearing:
Skirt & Shirt, Old Navy
Vest, Makers of True Originals
Leggings, Les Ailes
Earrings, gift from Laury from the Dominican
Brooch, vintage, Maskarad

I wanted to change my hair to red before photos, so I bleached it out last night, and not all of the colour came out, so I was left with a sort of washed out turquoise mess. It was in a state of semi-friedness as well, so I thought I ought to do a strand test (first time in my life) before applying the new colour. I’m glad I did. Not only did the strand turn a brownish green instead of the vibrant red I wanted, it also disintegrated. Fortunately I had some blue left, and just re-did it. My roots are a smidge green, but it’s pretty vibrant otherwise so I’m not over concerned.

I have no idea how I’m meant to get this out, though. Haha!

  1. Just a friendly warning about the frequent hair-dyeing. A friend of my sister’s (back in the 80s and being all punk) dyed her hair wacky colour frequently and eventually her hair started to thin (ie. more falling out than growing in). It’s a good idea to give your hair/scalp a bit of rest every now and then.

  2. Awww, thanks Sab. Had an awesome day with you as well, as I had told you previously. We will do it again soon, promise.

  3. 1. Just noticed the Etsy section under your blogroll, very cool!

    2. How does one go about seeing pics of you and Laur in support of Movember? 😀

    3. *hug* 🙂
