Boop-boop.

Work wear.

I’m not super great at it. My proportions are such that dress shirts and tailored items don’t quite fit off-the-rack, and I don’t have a tailor. I’ve always been a bit of a cheapskate, so buying finer pieces is something that I’m only now coming around to the idea of. I did, however, buy “nice” pants. At the Gap, on clearance, for like $14.

They’re too long, okay? I know! I’m very short.

Pants, GAP
Tee, Old Navy
Cardigan, Joe Fresh
Shoes, Ardene, with little eyelashes painted on by me
Necklace, Friendship necklace with Mina & Lauren being the owners of the other parts. I wear mine almost every day.

These shoesies seem to be saying “Why hello there, handsome.”

Friends.

I recently made a change to my buying rules: Buy made in Canada or America only – buy local whenever possible. My last pre-change shopping trip was to the GAP in Fredericton, and I picked up these pants and two pairs of shorts. Looking at them now I feel a wee bit of guilt. I don’t wear them very often, as is the case with many of my clothes, and they probably aren’t super well-made. But they filled the gap in my wardrobe for work-appropriate pants, and that was important to me at the time.
Later in the week, I’ll try to show you my latest purchases, all Canadian-made.

Later, gators!
