Remember when dresses over jeans were all the rage? I do. It was a rough time for fashion, if that was as creative as it got, but hey, here I am doing it, so don’t knock it.

This was an outfit I wore to The Mall, to complete my 90s flashbacking. While there, I acquired such exciting items as gym pants, sports undergarments, and … (and okay, this one actually is exciting) a peplum belt!!!
Oh, man, I forgot about the peplum belt. I’ve been looking for one for AGES and I finally found it at Addition Elle, of all places. I know Zara made one about 18 months ago, but my Zara never carried it. I searched and searched and as I was walking away from the Sports Experts, I saw a skirt in the window I was certain had a separate peplum on it.
So, I ran in, all frantic.. “IS THAT A PEPLUM BELT?!?!” and the saleslady was like “Okay, calmez-vous. What’s a peplum?”
Anyway, it was indeed a peplum belt and now it is mine, all mine! Unfortunately it looks a bit weird, so I have to wear it backwards, but meh.
