Christmas Party The First

This is going to sound more vain than it is: I clean up good.

To illustrate, here’s what I wore to work:

Jeans, Joe Fresh
Dress (as a top), Zellers
Cardi, Jacob
Watch, g-Shock
Sneakers, Adidas

I look cute, it’s true. (Vain again!) But, here’s what I looked like two hours later, for Julie’s Christmas Party:

Dress, JC Penney
Fishnets, Victoria’s Secret
Clutch, Betsey Johnson
Head Thing, Winners
Watch, FCUK
Shoes, Michael Antonio

Not in a vain way, but come on. The second one is better. And it should be, it took TWO HOURS. However, I felt like a million bucks, and wondered why I don’t do this kind of work on my appearance all the time.
You want to know the reason? Sleep is nice. I like sleeping. Til about ten minutes before I have to leave the house. Ain’t no way I’m getting up while it’s dark to curl my hair, and paint my face. That’s wack.

On the other hand, I look, to borrow a word from Cristina Aguilera, dooooope. (Yeah, I’ve been watching The Voice.)

PS, this is my favourite handbag:

In it, I kept shoes for when my feet decided they were done (which didn’t take long, though I held out til midnight before actually switching) and my phone, wallet, lipstick, and a whole host of things. It is a good size.

This is the first of my many Christmas outfits. My own party was Mad Men themed, and Julie’s mom made me a beautiful dress in a fantastic emerald green – which I complimented with a Beehive.
Photos soon 😀
