Have you ever re-worn your bridesmaid dresses?

I’m glad Mina was so lax in her dress rules, because the frocks I picked up are all super wearable. Bright, but wearable. I think our array of greens looks absolutely lovely.

The kitties often come to visit during our .. photo-shoots. Photoshoots sounds wrong, implies models and hairdressers and we’ve just got my corridor, and Julie. And cats, of course, but they do come visit, and are dreadfully cute.

Did I ever tell you about my eShakti experience? I know people tend to have very mixed opinions on them, but overall, I was pleased. I ordered with pretty ample time to receive them before the wedding, but even so, they contacted me to let me know that there was a delay in shipping. I wrote back and let them know I needed the dresses by September 19 (this was at the beginning of August) and within a day, they had replied and said they’d put a rush on it to make sure they were there in time.
They were, with two weeks to spare.

The quality of the dresses is good – certainly good for the price. I got one sized, and one ‘custom’ dress. The custom one is actually too large, in the shoulder strap and bust, but not so much so that it’s unwearable, just the usual amount. I’ve got rounded shoulders, so I’m not as wide as I should be for the size of the rest of me, I think.

The only issue I have is with the fabric. It’s my fault, but I was expecting a mercerized cotton, and it’s not that. I think because in my head it’s what I wanted, I applied that to the dresses, so I was a little disappointed when they arrived and were a plain, flat cotton – which wrinkles! So much wrinkles!!

I’ll definitely order from them again, I think. The little touches really made it special for me: pockets, and a little snap strap under the sleeve/straps which holds your bra strap in place. That? Is brilliant.
