4D Challenge May 2012 Results

Finally! I dragged my feet on updating, and then experienced some technical difficulties, and as a result I’m pretty late in posting the results of the first joint challenge of Mina and I.

To recap!

Classic, Pretty, Polish

Mina creates a polyvore based on the PeopleStyleWatch magazine. We shop for items resembling or inspired by those she lays out. For less than $50.

This month …

Polka dots!
Fitted white blouse
Classic black heels
Structured bag
Bright matte lipstick
One “piece” of jewelry

What did we do?

no images were found

Mina wore…
Black with white polka dots dress -> $7.99, Value Village
Payless “Infinite” black pumps -> $24.99, Payless
Ardene copper watch -> $7.50, Ardene

CoverGirl Blast Flipstick Lipcolor, in pucker -> $10.99

Avon nail polish, in electric purple -> Free
Sunglasses -> Hers, from the dollar store

So her total for her entire ensemble was … $51.47 – not bad!

I wore…

Dress, Montreal Mega Reuse Center -> $5
White rose necklace, Bangor Antique Mall & Cafe -> $4
Liptick, Avon BEYOND COLOR Plumping Lip Color in Cantaloupe -> $3.99

Nailpolish, Mina’s Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Mint Sprint on most, and Hard as Nails X-Treme Wear in (I think) Twisted Pink on ring fingers -> Free!
Shoes, VV from Mina -> Free!

Total was .. $12.99

Successful challenge, I would say!

What I plan to do differently this time is think in advance more. I didn’t consult the polyvore as much as I intended to, I got sidetracked once I found my dress and went, like ‘Problem solved!‘, and didn’t give enough thought to the accessories. All told, though, I love the outfit I came away with!
