Soo, I guess I forgot about you.
But it’s not my fault, I was busy! Since February 17, 2015, I have done many things. Including, but not limited to:
1. Sugaring Off! (Marchish 2015)
We took my nephew out to his first sugar shack. We headed out to La Crépuscule, where I was able to eat a full gluten-free spread!
2. The Féstival d’été de Québec (July 2015)
The FEQ goes down every year in Quebec City, and they bring some major names! We got caught in an awesome Foo storm, saw the Tragically Hip from a terrace, Icona Pop, Iggy Iggs, and Julie’s parents went up for the Rolling Stones. We wandered around Old Quebec for a while, as well, saw some pretty cool walls, and ate at The Bunny Hops / Is Fried in a Pan (Le Lapin Sauté).
Last summer in general was pretty great. We had a lot of rain, but the nice days we did have, we profited from! We rented a cabin with friends up in Mont Tremblant for a long weekend. Julie used his time there to disconnect:
Where I took a more traditional ‘float in lake’ perspective
The end of summer snuck up on us, but we made time to head out to see Mina & fam, and their NEW BABY. No pictures of baby, because he is not mine to post, but I will say they know how to make a gal’s 32nd special:
I was wrapped up like a couture mummy, and given jello shots with a straw. Who says grownups don’t know how to party?
Finally, home, with fall upon us, Jules and I undertook a bit of a transformation. From:
TO
We reno’d our kitchen! The insulation in the house left quite a bit to be desired, the back wall usually sitting around -1 to -4C in the wintertime, so we ripped her up, tore her down and started fresh. The back wall is now a solid eleven degrees, even when it drops to -30! AWW YEAH WARMTH!
This seems like enough news for now. I don’t want to overwhelm you. I promise promise to a) get a better photo of the kitchen. b) show you how fall and winter 2015, and winter 2016 have been going.
