I used the Maison Canelle gluten-free pie crust, because I’m still intimidated by gf pastries, and it was dry and hard, but very edible. Having just eaten my mom’s butter tarts with real crust, though, I remember what pastry should taste like, and it’s not really this. It looks amazing, and the filling tastes fantastic.
