There are a lot of photos in this post. I guess I could tell you about things while you look at them. Let’s see… I’ve been listening to awesome, awesome Lovecraft audiobooks Aaron lent me. They’re really great! If you’re so inclined, you should check out : The Lurking Fear, In the Walls of Eryx, Herbert West: Reanimator, Call of Cthulu, Shadow over Innsmouth, and Rats in the Walls. You have time, they’re classics, come on. Also if you want to read the Evil Clergyman and tell me what it’s about, that’d be ace. Thanks!
I’ve had a wicked cold the past week, so have not gone to the gym. I have instead: slept a lot. A LOT, like 12 hours a night. Sleeping is so much better than running, I tell you what. I also made soup, something I am singularly good at, I have discovered. Chicken “noodle”, with my dad’s secret ingredients (honey and Frank’s Red Hot), and “Cream” of Mushroom. Om Nom Nom! All of my veg soups contain the following:
– Broth or water.
Cook, puree, soup.
The chicken noodle was a lot harder, as it has no pureeing, and therefore I didn’t know how to make the flavours meld. Turns out they just sort of .. do. It had turkey broth I made at christmas, and a chicken which I braised in white wine and ginger, potato, sweet potato, tomatoes, bit of fresh dill, chives, coriander, and a mirepoix. It was super, super, super good. You should make soup, it’s a good time for it.
Nothing else is really new, gentle readers. I have kind of a Big Thing coming up next week, not that it’s a secret but it’s something I am excited about and scared about and I hope it goes well. I’ll tell you all about it soon.
